Manafwa is a district in eastern Uganda . The capital of the district is Manafwa .

location

The Manafwa District is bordered by the Bududa District to the north, Kenya to the east and south , the Tororo District to the southwest and the Mbale District to the west .

history

The district was created in 2005 from parts of the Mbale district.

Demographics

The population is estimated at 175,200 for 2020. In the same year, 14 percent of them lived in urban regions and 86 percent in rural regions.
