Kween is a district in eastern Uganda . The capital of the district is Binyiny .

location

The district of Kween borders in the north with the district Nakapiripirit , in the northeast with the district Amudat , in the east with the district Bukwo , in the south with the Kenya , in the west with the district Kapchorwa and in the northwest with the district Bulambuli .

history

The district was created in 2010 from parts of the Kapchorwa district.

Demographics

The population is estimated at 109,500 for 2020. In the same year, 4.9 percent of them lived in urban regions and 95.1 percent in rural regions.
