Ngora is a district in eastern Uganda . The capital of the district is Ngora .

location

The district of Ngora borders in the northwest on the district Soroti , in the northeast on the district Katakwi , in the east on the district Kumi , in the south on the district Pallisa and in the west on the district Serere .

history

The district was created in 2010 from parts of the Kumi district.

Demographics

The population is estimated at 165,800 for 2020. In the same year, 10.4 percent of them lived in urban regions and 89.3 percent in rural regions.
