Kaberamaido is a district ( district ) in Eastern Uganda with 122,924 inhabitants. Like almost all districts of Uganda , it is named after its capital. The Kaberamaido district is located north of Lake Kyoga in central Uganda.

Kaberamaido, together with the neighboring districts of Katakwi , Soroti and Kumi, belongs to the Teso sub-region, which is mainly inhabited by the Nilotic ethnic groups of the Iteso and Kumam . Kaberamaido is the main area of the Kumam.
