Kotido is a district in northern Uganda . The capital of the district is Kotido .

location

The district of Kotido borders in the north on the district Kaabong , in the east on the district Moroto , in the south on the district Napak and in the west on the district Abim . The Agago District and the Kitgum District are northwest of the Kotido District.

Demographics

The population is estimated at 206,500 for 2020. In the same year, 36.7 percent of them lived in urban regions and 63.3 percent in rural regions.

economy

Nomadic pastoralism is the main economic activity in the district. In some areas there is rural agriculture. The district is one of the poorest and most underdeveloped in Uganda.
