Kotido is a city in the Northern Region in Uganda . It is the capital of the Kotido district and is a municipality within the district. Katido has had the status of a municipality since 2015.

location

Kotido is about 100 kilometers northwest of Moroto, the largest city in the Karamoja sub-region. The city is also approximately 430 kilometers northwest of Kampala , Uganda's capital and largest city.
