climate
Masindi came out of a drought of several years in June 2000 and in the decade 2000–2009, summarizing the years 2003/2004, brought it to an average annual rainfall of 347.17 mm. The dry 1990s, on the other hand, came to a meager 121.67 mm / a in the period 1993–1999, summarizing the years '93 / '94. The comparatively well-moistened 1970s with their 499.51 millimeters annually in the period 1973–1978 did not yet suggest such a fall. During this time, Masindi reached minimum temperatures between 4 and 5 ° C several times, but never warmed up above 34 ° C. A similar spread of the lowest and highest temperatures has never been measured again since then. The number of torrential rains decreased rapidly. In the 1970s there were still three events in the range from 190 to 200 liters per square meter. On September 27, 2002, however, only 109.98 liters per square meter had to be handled.
