Guilherme Samaia

Guilherme Samaia , full name Guilherme de Abreu Sampaio Samaia , (born October 2, 1996 in São Paulo , Brazil ) is a Brazilian automobile racing driver . In 2017 Samaia won the Brazilian Formula 3 Championship with the Césario F3 team. After starting out in karting, Samaia has so far only participated in monoposto racing series.

Career

Samaia began his motorsport career in karting in 2012 , he moved to Fórmula Junior Brazil in 2013 where he took part in two races and finished 16th overall. Two years later he took first place in the Formula 3 Brazil Light. In 2016 he was runner-up in the Brazilian Formula 3 Championship and the following year he won this championship. He took part in the Euroformula Open series in 2018 and 2019. Samaia is currently driving in the 2020 FIA Formula 2 Championship for the Spanish team Campos Racing .
