Marshall Bell
Marshall Bell (born September 28, 1942 in Tulsa , Oklahoma ) is an American actor .
Bell starred in the late 1980s and early 1990s with major supporting roles in Nightmare II - Revenge (1985), Stand by Me - The Secret of a Summer (1986), Twins (1988) and Total Recall (1990 ) known.
Life
Bell was born in Tulsa in 1942, where he lived until the age of 13. Then his family moved to Denver . After expelled from St. Paul's School's private boarding school in Concord , New Hampshire, he attended Fountain Valley School in Colorado Springs , Colorado, where he began acting as Elwood P. Dowd in the play My Friend Harvey collected. Discouraged by bad reviews after the performance, he was no longer acting for over 20 years.
Following a recommendation from producer and casting agent Fred Roos , British director Alan Parker offered Bell a small role as Ronsky in Birdy . The following year he took on the role of Gerry Jones in the Fred Roos-produced comedy Seven Minutes in Heaven . Bell then played major supporting roles as the brutal coach Schneider in Nightmare II - The Revenge , grieving father Mr. Lachance in Stand by Me , ice-cold killer Webster in Twins - Twins and Martian George with his mutant Kuato in Paul Verhoeven's Die totale Reminder - Total Recall .
Countless other roles in cinema and television films followed, as well as appearances in series such as Hill Street Police Station , Tales from the Crypt , The X-Files - The FBI's Scary Cases , Deadwood , Dr. House or Stargate Atlantis .
Bell is married to costume designer and multiple Oscar winner Milena Canonero and lives in West Hollywood .
