action
The businessman Sam Treadwell lives happily with the android Cherry in 2017 , who is the perfect woman for him. When Cherry is destroyed by water damage and Sam wants to get a new one, he learns that the production of the Cherry model range has long been discontinued. Since he cannot be enthusiastic about newer models, he initially does without a love robot. But after a few days he receives a message from the android dealer Slim that an intact Cherry is being stored in a robot cemetery in the desert. Because this area is controlled by rebels, Sam needs the help of the local bounty hunter Edith Johnson. At first he refuses and wants to find another hunter, but then agrees and starts the long journey with Edith Johnson. The destination is Zone 7, a lawless desert area ruled by Lester and his gang. As they get closer and closer to their goal, the gang tracks down the two and kidnaps them. After a short time they can free themselves and continue their search, but are followed by Lester. With a slight lead, Sam and Edith reach the robot cemetery and find Cherry. As they are about to make their way home, Lester arrives with his gang. There is a shootout in which Lester is killed. Sam and Cherry are able to flee from the other gang members, but have to leave Edith alone in the fight. On the way back, Sam realizes that he has fallen in love with Edith. He turns around and puts Cherry down again so that he can save Edith and finally go home with her.
