Room 6 is an American horror film directed by Michael Hurst from 2006. Hurst co-wrote the script with producer Mark A. Altman. A lower school teacher struggles with the emotional consequences of a terrible childhood experience.

action

The young teacher Amy Roberts and her boyfriend Nick van Dyke are in a car accident. Amy is unharmed but is very worried about Nick, whose leg appears to be broken. Nick receives first aid from paramedics and takes him to a hospital. Unfortunately, Amy does not find out exactly where he is being taken. The nearest hospital does not have him on the admission list. But she meets Lucas again here, another person involved in the accident who is also looking for his injured family member. They decide to continue their search together. Since Amy suffers from a hospital phobia and is haunted by visions of horror from time to time, she is happy about the support. The people around her appear to her as half-mangled zombies for a few seconds, which scares her very much.

One of Amy's students - she appeared because of behavioral problems - wants to help. She advises looking for Nick at St. Rosemary's Hospital . While doing research with Lucas, Amy finds out that this hospital burned down under mysterious circumstances 70 years ago. Nevertheless, she wants to try it and goes to its ruins or previous location. She really wants to help Nick. She owes him that.

Since Lucas has become intrusive in her house and has now also mutated into a zombie, Amy goes out alone. The house looks ghostly, but she sums up all courage. In addition to the zombies that appear in abundance inside, she meets medical staff that she is already familiar with from her worst nightmares. In patient room No. 6 she meets her father, paralyzed after an unsuccessful operation, connected to a heart-lung machine and deadly unhappy with his condition. Amy sees herself standing by his bed as a little girl. The father asks the daughter to turn off the phone. Amy granted his wish and pulled the plug. The father dies within a few seconds. This experience from her childhood had burdened her heavily, which probably also resulted in her hospital phobia. Then she continues her search for Nick. She rescues him from an operating table. The surgeon wanted to operate on Nick with full consciousness.

Amy wakes up from a dream. The car accident mentioned at the beginning has only just happened. She sits on the passenger seat covered in blood. This time it is she who got hurt, not Nick. With the last of her strength, she confesses her love to Nick and closes her eyes.
