The Walsh family now move into 1428 Elm Street and 17 year old Jesse is immediately plagued by terrible nightmares. He teams up with his girlfriend Lisa to fight evil together. Freddy takes possession of Jesse and kills his best friend and some pool party guests at Lisa's party. Lisa's father wants to shoot Freddy, but Lisa stops him.

In the scene in which Lisa Webber's parents turn off the light in their bedroom and the teenagers outside by the swimming pool turn up the stereo system, the 1985 song Whisper To A Scream by the duo Bobby Orlando and Claudja Barry can be heard at this nightly party .
