The First Heartland Jýsan Bank (until 2019 Tsesnabank ) is a credit institution from Kazakhstan based in Almaty . It is listed on the Kazakh Stock Exchange .

history

The credit institution was founded on January 17th, 1992 as Tsesnabank (Цеснабанк) in Aqmola . Two years later the bank became a member of the Kazakhstan Interbank Currency Exchange. In 2000 she became a member of the Kazakhstan Deposit Insurance Fund.

In 2003 Tsesnabank went public on the Kazakh Stock Exchange . She also became an associate member of the VISA International Service Association in 2004 . In November 2007 the bank opened its first branch in the Russian capital Moscow .

In February 2019, the holding company First Heartland Securities (FHS) acquired 99.5 percent of the shares in Tsesnabank. FHS, in turn, is subordinate to the Nazarbayev University . As a result of the acquisition, the name of the bank was changed to First Heartland Jýsan Bank in April 2019; the brand is only presented as Jýsan Bank. In addition, the company headquarters was relocated from Nur-Sultan to Almaty . In June the merger with the First Heartland Bank, another subsidiary of FHS, was decided at a general meeting; this was completed in September.
