Jōkō Ninomiya

Jōkō Ninomiya ( Japanese二 宮城 光Ninomiya Jōkō ; * 1954 Ehime Prefecture ) is a Japanese exponent of karate - Enshin karate and other martial arts.

He studied the Kyôkushin system in Japan under Hideyûki Ashihara (since 1969) and in the USA under Shigeru Oyama (since 1974). Ninomiya, all Japanese master of Japan Karate Kyôkushinkai (JKK) 1978 and 3rd of the World Championships of the International Karate Organization (IKO) in 1975, developed Enshin Karate in 1988. His students include u. a. Shihan Chandana Muthunayake. He invented "Enshin Karate", he travels to dojos (training halls) all over the world and visits his students. He is a very important martial artist.
