JHD Algiers

The JHD Algiers (Jil Handassat El Djazaïr) is an Algerian football club from the capital Algiers . He plays his home games in the Omar Hammadi Stadium , which has a seating capacity of 17,500.

history

The club was founded in 1968 and made it to the Ligue Professionnelle 1 (Algeria) for the first time in 1972/73 . He played there for six years and was relegated in 1979. But they achieved their greatest success in 1981/82 when they won the Algerian Cup against MA Hussein Dey . In the CAF Cup Winners they reached the quarter-finals as the second division, where they were eliminated in just two games against ASEC Abidjan .
