Jack's Blowhole (or Jack's Blowhole ) is a blowhole in the Catlins in New Zealand and a station on the Southern Scenic Route . It is located 200 m from the sea and is 144 m long, 68 m wide and 55 m deep. It was named after Tuhawaiki , a leader of the Ngāi Tahu (a Maori tribe), whose nickname was Bloody Jack . This nickname came about because of its coarse language.
