Jack Darcus
Jack Darcus (born February 22, 1941 in Vancouver ) is a Canadian film director, screenwriter, writer and painter.
Darcus studied fine arts and philosophy at the University of British Columbia until 1963 . He then had numerous exhibitions as a painter in Canadian galleries, and from the 1970s also in Europe and the USA. Great Coups of History (1968) was the first of eight feature films he made, most of which he worked as a screenwriter, director and producer at the same time. He has also worked as a director for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and Atlantis Films of Toronto, and has taught at the University of British Columbia , the Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design and the Vancouver Film School . He also wrote three novels.
