Jackie Wilson (born December 2, 1909 in Westminster , South Carolina , USA , † December 2, 1966 ) was an American boxer . He was world featherweight champion from 1941 to 1943 .
Career
Wilson began his professional career in 1929 and won his first three fights. On November 18, 1941, he won the world championship belt of the NBA association when he beat his compatriot Richie Lemos by unanimous decision. He lost this title on January 18, 1943 against Jackie Callura by unanimous decision on points. Wilson ended his career in 1947.
