The Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami ( Florida ) is the third largest public hospital and University Hospital in the United States and was established in 1918th

The hospital is particularly known for its ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat medicine and kidney disease treatment departments. The Jackson Memorial is also where the medical students of the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami are trained .

Jackson Memorial Hospital is part of the Jackson Health System that operates other hospitals in Miami-Dade County.
