Jacqueline Comerre-Paton
Jacqueline Comerre-Paton (born May 1, 1859 in Paris , † 1955 there ) was a French painter.
Life
Comerre-Paton was one of the few students at the École des Beaux-Arts (EBA) in her hometown. There she was u. a. Taught by Alexandre Cabanel and met her future husband Léon-François Comerre there.
With the help of her teachers, Comerre-Paton was able to take part in the major annual exhibitions of the Salon de Paris either alone or together with her husband .
The painter and writer Albert Gleizes was her nephew.
At the age of 96, Jacqueline Comerre-Paton died in Paris and found her final resting place there.
