Jacqueline Foster DBE (born December 30, 1947 in Liverpool ) is a British politician of the Conservative Party .

Life

Foster attended Prescot Girls' Grammar School . After finishing school, she worked as a stewardess at British Airways and became a member of the British Transport and General Workers' Union . From 1981 to 1984 she worked for the tourism company Horizon Tours for four years and then started again with British Airways . Foster was a member of the European Parliament from 1999 to 2004 . While she failed in the European Parliament elections in 2004, she moved back to the European Parliament as a member in 2009. In 1975 she married Peter Foster, from whom they separated in 1981.

Activities as MEPs

From 2009 onwards, Foster will serve as a member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism, as well as a deputy on the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and the Delegation for Relations with the United States .
