Jakob Wolf (politician)

Jakob Wolf (born September 14, 1966 in Tumpen , Umhausen ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). He is mayor of the municipality of Umhausen and a member of the Tyrolean state parliament, as well as the chairman of the state parliament club of the Tyrolean People's Party.

education and profession

Jakob Wolf attended elementary school in Tumpen and in 1977 switched to the Franciscan high school in Hall in Tirol, where he graduated from high school in 1985. He then studied law at the University of Innsbruck and graduated in 1990 with a master's degree.

Jakob Wolf was head of press and marketing for the Tyrolean People's Party between 1991 and 1994 and was then direct press spokesman for the governor until 2000. Jakob Wolf worked as a lawyer between 2000 and 2001 and was then head of marketing for the Tyrolean provincial government up to and including 2003.

politics

Wolf has been the mayor of Umhausen since 1998 and was elected district party chairman of the People's Party in the Imst district in 2002. He took over the office of Mayor Ernst Schöpf. Wolf is also a regional board member of AAB Tirol. Since October 21, 2003, he has represented the Tyrolean Oberland, the Imst district, as VP Member of the Tyrolean state parliament. In October 2003 he was elected deputy club chairman and from 2013 club chairman of the state parliament club of the Tyrolean People's Party. After the state elections in 2018 that were successful for the Tyrolean People's Party, Wolf was re-elected in this office. On September 19, 2019, Wolf was at a regular district party conference of the People's Party in Imst in the presence of state party chairman LH Günther Platter, BM a. D. Margarete Schramböck, LH a. D. Herwig Van Staa, MEP Barbara Thaler and numerous guests of honor were unanimously re-elected as district party chairman by the 106 delegates present in a secret and written ballot.

Private

Wolf has been married since 1994 and has two daughters. He is a member of the Catholic student union AV Austria Innsbruck .
