James Green (athlete)
James "Jim" Green (born November 27, 1932 ) is a retired American marathon runner .
In 1959 he was second in the Yonkers Marathon in 2:29:51 h and eighth in the Boston Marathon in 2:29:58 h. At the Pan American Games in Chicago he won silver with 2:32:17 h.
In 1960 he finished third in the Boston Marathon with his personal best of 2:23:37 h . A ninth place in the Boston Marathon in 1961 was followed by a fourth place in the Western Hemisphere Marathon in 1962 .
