James R. Flynn (2007)

James Robert Flynn (* 1934 in Chicago , Illinois ), also known as Jim Flynn known is an American Emeritus Professor of Political Studies at the University of Otago in Dunedin , New Zealand .

Flynn became known through studies in the field of intelligence research and through the Flynn effect named after him . This describes the continuous increase in the intelligence quotient in large parts of the world. His main research interests outside of intelligence research include human ideals, ideological debates, and classical and political philosophy.

Flynn is from Chicago and went to New Zealand in 1963.
