James Somerville, 1st Baronet
Sir James Somerville, 1st Baronet ( 1693 - 16 August 1748 ) was an Irish politician.
James Somerville was born in 1693 to Thomas Somerville, a Dublin alderman, and Katherine King. On February 2, 1713 he married Elizabeth Quayle († 1725), the daughter of the Dublin councilor James Quayle.
James Somerville was a Member of the Irish House of Commons , the lower house of the Parliament of Ireland , from 1729 until his death . From 1736 to 1737 he held the office of Lord Mayor of Dublin ( Lord Mayor of Dublin ).
On June 14, 1748, a few months before his death, he was raised to Baronet Somerville, of Somerville in the County of Meath .
