Jan Beckers

Jan Beckers (born January 25, 1983 in Münster) is a German serial entrepreneur and investor . He co-founded 25 internet companies that now employ 1,500 people.

Professional background

Jan Beckers founded his first two companies, the job exchange Absolventa.de and the event portal Studenta.de, while he was still studying business administration in Münster. He then moved to Berlin and founded the advertising service provider Madvertise together with the Internet entrepreneur Lukasz Gadowski and the advertising service provider Fyber together with the venture capitalist Team Europe. In 2011 Beckers founded the company IONIQ (formerly HitFox Group) together with partners, which they built up into an incubator for advertising technologies: Several startups such as Applift , Ad2Games, and Gamefinder were created on the platform by the end of 2013 . In 2014 Jan Beckers founded the startup factory for financial technologies finleap together with partners . To date, 15 different fintech companies have emerged on the platform . In 2017 Beckers founded another startup factory together with partners - Heartbeat Labs founds and invests in digital health companies. To own foundations of Heartbeat Labs which includes telemedicine -Anbieter remote doctor , the digital midwives counseling children heroine and practice chain Hy studio for minimally invasive aesthetic treatments. At the end of 2018, Jan Beckers brought Dr. Johannes Keienburg, formerly ProSIebenSat1 Media SE , as CEO of the IONIQ Group, will remain part of the management team as Executive Chairman. In April 2018, the Hitfox Group changed its name to the IONIQ Group, with the focus on promoting the digitization of Europe. In 2019 Beckers announced the two equity funds “Global Internet Leaders” through the fund management company BIT Capital with an investment focus on listed Internet companies worldwide and invested 25 million euros from its private assets as an anchor investor.

Awards

In 2014 Beckers was awarded the "Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 - Category Startups" by the management consultancy EY for its entrepreneurial success in the market for online advertising.
