Jan Dost
Jan Dost (born March 12, 1965 in Ain al-Arab , Syria ) is a freelance Kurdish journalist and writer. After graduating from high school, he studied biology at the University of Aleppo from 1985 to 1988 , but did not complete his studies. Jan Dost writes in Kurdish and Arabic . His works are published in Lebanon , Syria, Iraq , Turkey and Germany . The author was first known in Germany in 1991 for his heroic poem "Kela Dimdimê" ("The Citadel of Dimdim"). Jan Dost has lived in Germany as a political refugee since June 2000. Jan Dost was naturalized in 2008.
