Jan Tajchman

Jan Juliusz Tajchman (born May 21, 1929 in Krośniewice ) is a Polish architect and has been a professor of architecture at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń since 1990 . Together with his wife Ewa Tomaszewska-Tajchman, he runs the company "Tajchman SC Konserwacja Zabytków", which deals with the renovation and conservation of historical buildings and monuments. For his services in this field Tajchman received a variety of prizes, awards and honorary degrees in the years 1973-1999.

Among other things, Jan Tajchman led the renovation of the Dormition Cathedral in Saint Petersburg from 1996–1997 and the renovation of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Moscow from 1998–1999 .
