Jan Const

January Konst , actually: John WH Const , (* 1963 ) is a Dutch literary scholar and Niederlandist .

Life

Jan Konst studied Dutch language and literature in Utrecht , where he also received his doctorate in 1993. Since 1994 he has been working as a professor at the Free University of Berlin , initially in the field of “Dutch literature and language from the beginnings to 1800”. Since 2000 he has held the chair “Dutch Philology: Literary Studies”. His publications are devoted to early modern literature , Dutch-German literary relations, and contemporary literature in the Netherlands and Flanders .
