Jan Kuklík (lawyer)

Jan Kuklík (born August 1, 1967 in Prague ) is a Czech legal historian , university lecturer and specialist book author. With Antonín Klimek and father Jan Kuklík , he is one of the most important modern historians in the Czech Republic.

Life

After studying law at Charles University in Prague , he was a scholarship holder in 1991 on the campus of St Edmund Hall - College at the University of Oxford , where he did research in the archives. He was then employed as a research assistant at Charles University and is dean and professor at the Faculty of Law (Právnická fakulta) and director of the Institute for Legal History (Ústav právních dějin).

He researched the history of Anglo-American law, the legal system in the Czechoslovak Republic and, together with his father Jan Kuklík (1940–2009), gave the history textbook Dějepis pro gymnázia a střední školy in 2002 . Nejnovější dějiny for Czech high schools.
