Jan Platte

Jan Platte is a German commentator who mainly reports on football and tennis .

Career

Platte left school with a high school diploma. He then gained his first experience as a journalist in the sports department of Sat.1. He successfully completed his studies at the German Sport University in Cologne .

Today he works as a freelance editor at SPORT1 . At the station, he is part of the permanent team of commentators. Platte comments on national and international football games and specializes in tennis as a commentator. Also for LIGA total! he was on duty as a commentator. Platte has been commenting on football games regularly for the online streaming service DAZN since August 2016 . Since 2018 he has been a commentator on the Sat.1 game show Catch! .
