Janaab Pakal III. (also Wak Kimi Janaab Pakal or Six Death ) was the last known ruler ( Ajaw ) of the Maya city of Palenque . So far he is only known from a single inscription on a clay pot. This inscription gives the accession to the throne of Janaab Pakal III. for November 13, 799 ( long count 9.18.9.4.4, calendar round 7 K'an 17 Muwan). This is the last known date that has come down from Palenque. The city itself was in final decline at that time. The population decreased and no major construction projects can be proven.

The name Janaab Pakals III. can be seen as a reference to K'inich Janaab Pakal I , the most important ruler of Palenques. However, due to the sparse sources, it cannot be said whether there is a relationship to his dynasty. He also apparently did not have the title of "Holy Lord of Palenque" ( k'uhul B'aakal ajaw ), which is why he could also have been a low-ranking dignitary.
