Markus Zelisko

Markus Zelisko (born September 23, 1978 in Bruck an der Mur ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 2008 to 2015 he was a member of the Styrian state parliament .

education and profession

After elementary school, Zelisko attended the first class of the HTBL in Kapfenberg, specializing in electrical engineering. He then began an apprenticeship as a communications electronics technician at Schrack (later Ericsson, then Flextronics). After completing his apprenticeship, he did military service and then returned to his teaching company. Due to the company's difficulties, Zelisko switched to the office of Günter Dörflinger, the then youth and health council . In 2002 he switched to UNIQA as an insurance specialist . He passed the BÖV examination in 2005 and completed additional training as a financial advisor in 2006.

In 2009 he founded a UNIQA GeneralAgency, thereby setting up his own business as an insurance agent . In 2010 Zelisko founded the trading company Zelisko Trading eU and operates the internet portal gelsenschutz.at, which offers gel protection for the outdoors. In 2015 the company was renamed Zelisko eU. In addition to the already existing online portals mueckenfrei.at, gelsenschutz.at and gelsenfrei.at, the portal schaedlingfrei.at and schaedlingfrei.de were added in 2016 through a cooperation with the company Kwizda.

Zelisko joined the local group Kindberg der Junge Generation (JG) at the age of 16 and was active as a class and school representative during his time at vocational school. As a result, he was elected chairman of the JG district of Mürzzuschlag, and in July 2008 he also took over the role of managing director of the regional youth association. In 2001 he was elected deputy SPÖ district chairman, and in 2007 Zelisko rose to become district chairman. After Bernd Stöhrmann's retirement, he moved to the Styrian state parliament on February 12, 2008, where he took on the role of area spokesman for youth. In June 2015 he resigned from the state parliament.

Private

After his father's untimely death, Zelisko's mother met his stepfather, whom she married in 2000. Zelisko has a brother and has been married since 2004. He lives in Sankt Lorenzen in the Mürz Valley .
