Jane Casey

Jane Casey (* 1977 in Dublin ) is an Irish writer of detective novels .

Life

Casey grew up in Castleknock , 5 miles west of central Dublin. She studied English at Jesus College , Oxford .

Her first book, The Missing (dt. The missing ) was published in February 2010 by Ebury Press. It was shortlisted for the Ireland AM Crime Fiction Award.

She then began a series of novels with Detective Constable Maeve Kerrigan, the first five volumes have also been published in German. Left For Dead (Ger. Not yet published), which appeared as the fifth book in this series, is a novella and therefore to be classified before the first book The Burning (Ger. The Arsonist ).

Casey also wrote a number of novels for young adults: Fall into the Abyss and Summer on the Edge ; the third book in this series, Hide and Seek , has so far (as of February 2020) been published exclusively in English.
