Jannicke Systad Jacobsen

Jannicke Systad Jacobsen (* 1975 in Høvik ) is a Norwegian director and screenwriter .

Career

Jacobsen studied film directing at the National Film School of the Czech Republic and ethnology and theater studies at the University of Oslo. She also studied at the London Film School .

Jacobsen was inspired a lot by her student theses, on which she also made many documentaries. Her breakthrough came with her first feature film Turn me on, damn it! . At the world premiere in 2011, at the New York Tribeca Film Festival , she received an award for best screenplay.
