The Japan Basketball League ( Japanese バ ス ケ ッ ト ボ ー ル 日本 リ ー グ 機構 , Basuketto bōru nihon rīgu kikō ), or JBL for short, is a Japanese basketball league . It is hosted by the Japan Basketball Association (JABBA). The teams mainly consist of company teams. For this reason, the competition league bj league was formed in 2005 . There is also the Women's Japan Basketball League (WJBL) for women .
