The series is about 15-year-old high school attorney Jared Cooper, who is known as Coop, and his 15-year-old friend Kaleigh Stewart, who is a school court attorney, Scottish exchange student Rusty Dougal, and Tara Bohun, a judge. They often meet together in the school court of Sir Frederick Banting High School, whose director is William Whikers. Another character is Howard, called Howie, who wants to outdo Coop in everything.

Production and publication

The concept of the series comes from Jeff Biederman, Jeff Schechter and Jeff King. The production of Shaftesbury Films was directed by Paul Fox, Steve Wright, and others. The music is by Gary Koftinoff and Jono Grant, and the editing was done by Jean Coulombe and Craig Webster.

The first season of 13 episodes was shown on Disney Channel in the UK on July 10, 2009 . The broadcast ended on May 13, 2010. At the same time, Family showed the equally long second season in Canada and immediately afterwards the first season. A third season with again 13 episodes was broadcast in 2010. A German synchronization of the series was shown on Disney Channel from March 1, 2010.
