Jarosław Siwiński

Jarosław Siwiński (born June 9, 1964 in Warsaw ) is a Polish composer and pianist.

Siwiński studied at the Warsaw Music Academy from 1983 to 1988 piano with Kazimierz Gierżod and from 1988 to 1994 composition with Włodzimierz Kotoński . He has participated as a pianist and composer in numerous Polish and international festivals such as the World Music Days in Warsaw (1992) and Seoul (1997), the Warsaw Autumn , the Festival Musica Polonica Nova in Wrocław and the International Composers' Courses in Avignon (1992) and in Apeldoorn (1995).

He participated in multimedia projects with the MMGroup , with Frederic Rzewski , Michelangelo Pistoletto , Viktor Lois , Yin Peet and the Grupa Azorro . In addition to classical instrumental works, Siwiński also composed film and drama music as well as music for computer games. At the international jazz composition competition in 1997 he received third prize for Schyzia , and the second prize with Zegarynka at the Muzyka i zabawa composition competition the following year in Poznan .
