Jaroslav Drbohlav

Jaroslav Drbohlav (born January 13, 1947 in Prague , † April 28, 1985 there ) was a Czechoslovak actor .

Even as a child, Drbohlav took part in several Czech films. He continued his acting career in adulthood, studying from 1966 to 1969 at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. During his successful theater career, Drbohlav played at the Prague National Theater and the Činoherní Club, among others . He also appeared in around 30 films, including a supporting role in the classic fairy tale Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella (1973). Drbohlav played several leading roles in the following years, but a severe diabetes made him more and more troubled. After he lost his eyesight in the early 1980s, he only played a few film roles. Drbohlav had to give up his theater career completely in 1982. The father of one daughter died of liver failure on April 28, 1985 at the age of 38.
