Javier Bonet-Manrique

Javier Bonet-Manrique (* 1965 ) is a Spanish horn player .

Bonet-Manrique received his first musical lessons from his father, an amateur tubist. He studied at the Conservatory in Valencia with Miguel Rodrigo and at the Folkwang Musikhochschule Essen with Hermann Baumann .

Bonet is one of the most famous soloists on the natural horn . He gives concerts with well-known formations and soloists from all over the world. Among others, he works regularly with Jordi Savall and his orchestra, Les Concerts des Nations, Miriam Gómez-Morán and Anibal Bañados . Various composers have written works for him and Bañados.

He also founded "El Concierto Español" with other well-known musicians, an orchestra that only plays with original instruments.

Bonet is one of the best experts on the history and origin of natural horns and conducts intensive research on this. He has published his research results in several scientific journals.
