Libellula semifasciata is a dragonfly - Art of the genus Libellula of the subfamily Libellulinae . The species is widespread mainly in the eastern United States and between Florida and Texas . Outside the United States, she performs in Canada .

Construction of the Imago
The L. semifasciata reaches a length of 39 to 48 millimeters, of which 25 to 31 millimeters are on the abdomen . The animal is predominantly brown and yellow in color. The face is olive in color and turns red with age in males. The thorax is yellow-brown. The sides of the thorax have a hidden yellow-white stripe after the first and third lateral structure, which is a little darker. The legs are pale brown further down and black at the base. The brown abdomen tapers sharply towards the end. The hind wings reach a length of 31 to 38 millimeters. From the base of the wing to the nodus , the wing is dipped in a bright yellow. There is a dark spot about halfway along the fore wing and at the wing tips.
Construction of the larva
The larvae have eyes located in the center of the face and a long abdomen that tapers towards the end. The edge of the unpaired front part of the labium , the so-called prementum, is smooth.
