The dragonfly-like (Libelluloidea) form a superfamily within the suborder of the dragonflies (Anisoptera).
features
The species grouped together in this superfamily have compound eyes that are very close together . Furthermore, the wing triangle in the front wing is longest across the wing and has a sub-triangle. The wing triangle is also very far away from the arculus . In the hind wing, however, the wing triangle is longer in the direction of the wing, has no sub-triangle and lies close to the arculus. The representatives of this superfamily also do not have an ovipositor . The superfamily is considered to be monophyletic .
Systematics
Four families, some of which are very species-rich, are subordinate to the dragonfly-like.

In addition, 19 genera with incertae sedis are included in the Libelluloidea.

The taxon was established by Leach in 1815 .
