Právo (German law ; subtitle Nezávislé Noviny, German Independent Newspaper ) is a left-leaning daily newspaper in the Czech Republic from Monday to Saturday . The editorial office and place of publication is Prague .

She is the unofficial successor to the daily Rudé právo , an organ of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia , which was published until the end of 1990. The successor initially kept the previous name, and since September 18, 1995 the newspaper has appeared under its current name.

The Právo is published by Borgis, as , a joint stock company that only publishes the Právo and its supplements.

The circulation is over 160,000 copies and the newspaper is read by almost 500,000 people.

The Právo is published Monday to Saturday. On Wednesdays the newspaper contains the supplement Dům a bydlení (German: Haus und Wohnen ). On Fridays the newspaper contains the supplement Magazín + TV .
