Javier Couso Permuy (born November 8, 1968 in Ferrol ) is a Spanish politician of the Izquierda Unida . Couso was a member of the European Parliament from 2014 to 2019 as part of the GUE / NGL group .
Life
Couso Permuy has been a member of the European Parliament since the 2014 European elections . There he was Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Delegation for Relations with Iraq, as well as a member of the Sub-Committee on Security and Defense and the Delegation for Relations with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
He did not run again in the 2019 European elections.
