Jeanne C. Stein

Jeanne C. Stein (* in San Diego ) is an American urban fantasy writer . She lives with her family in Denver , Colorado. Stein became internationally known through her Anna Strong series. Her debut novel The Becoming became a national bestseller in December 2006. She is part of Horror Writers of America and the RWA and Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers. She was named RMFW's Writer of the Year 2008.

She also wrote a story in an anthology called Many Bloody Returns by Charlaine Harris and Toni LP Kelner, which landed at # 30 on the New York Times bestseller list. A second short story, Lucky Better Than Good , appeared in the anthology Am Schauplatz des Verbrechens .
