Jeanne Demons (born January 18, 1890 in Agen , † November 27, 1958 in Montréal ) was a Canadian actress of French origin.

Demons took acting lessons from Madeleine Roc and joined the drama company of the Théâtre Montparnasse . There she met her future husband Maurice Pelletier , with whom she switched to the company of Firmin Gémier . With this she came on a tour to Canada. In Montreal she was noticed by the director Fernand Dharvol , who engaged her in 1911 for a performance at the local Théâtre National .

She stayed with her husband for five years at the Théâtre National until she brought Paul Gury to the Théâtre Canadien in 1917 . In 1919 she founded the Troupe Jeanne Demons with Antoinette Giroux and Palmiéri, among others . From 1921 she worked with Bella Ouellette's troupe , with whom she alternately appeared at the Chanteclerc and worked together successfully until the 1940s.

Then she turned to radio and played roles in radio plays by Henri Deyglun . In 1953 René Delacroix hired her for the lead role in the film Cœur de maman , an adaptation of the radio play La mère abandonnée by Deyglun. The film became very successful, but remained her only work for the cinema.
