Jenő Vécsey

Jenő Vécsey (born July 19, 1909 in Céce , † September 19, 1966 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian composer.

Vécsey studied with Zoltán Kodály in Budapest from 1930 to 1935 and then in Vienna. From 1942 he worked at the Hungarian National Library, whose music department he headed from 1945. He composed a ballet, a symphonic poem, a symphonic concert, a concertino for piano and orchestra and a concertino for double bass and orchestra, chamber music works and piano pieces.
