On April 10, 2012, Echols announced in their travel journal that they had sold three more romantic YA comedies to Simon Pulse. These novels will not be part of the Simon Pulse Romantic Comedy series. Instead, they will be a trilogy focused on high school students who have won excellent awards. Echols described the "Superlatives Series" as "three novels about senior citizens at a Florida high school selected for their class who's who categories and how the labels change the way they see themselves and the course of their lives." These novels will be published in 2014/2015.

In her blog post dated Nov. 10, 2012, Echols also mentioned a desire to write more novels for the Levitating Las Vegas and Stargazer series, as well as more dramas for young adults, but said future contracts will depend solely on the sales of her 2013 novels.

In February 2013, Echols noted on her Twitter account and Livejournal blog that she was beginning to work on suggestion for the possible episodes on the Levitating Las Vegas and Stargazer series, as well as a new drama for young adults called Dirty Little Secret the last is what she planned. Echols also mentioned that she completed the first manuscript for the first young adult comedy in the Superlative series, and also worked on a draft for the second. Both novels should appear in 2014.
