Jens Ewald

Jens Ewald (born July 30, 1983 in Schwerte ) is a German canoeist. He mainly starts in the canoe slalom discipline .

Ewald comes from a family of canoeists, both his father and sister Nina Ewald are active in canoeing. He played his first competitions at the age of 8. The first major success came at the German championships in 1999, when he won the youth title and became German senior champions with the team. Successes in the junior sector followed, such as winning the World Cup and the European Championship with the team in 2001. In the same year he was able to win the German Cup with the team, which he repeated in the senior sector three years in a row.

In 2004 Ewald took part in the Olympic Games in Athens .

Ewald starts for the Schwerte canoe and surf club .
