Jens Jensen (basketball player)

Jens Sigve Munthe Jensen (born August 4,  1975 in Skanderborg ) is a former Danish basketball player .

career

Jensen played basketball in the youth division of Skovbakken Basket in the city of Aarhus and from 1993 onwards in Skovbakken's men's team (later renamed Bakken Bears ). From 1997 to 1999, the 1.95 meter tall winger, who made a name for himself as a good long-range shooter and defender, was part of the team at San Jose City College in the US state of California , and in the 1999/2000 season he played for the College team from the University of California, Irvine in the first NCAA division. He played 23 games for "UC Irvine" and posted an average of 1.8 points per encounter. He then left the university and returned to Denmark and Skovbakken. With the exception of the 2002/03 game year, in which he played for the Spanish club CB Los Barrios, Jensen Skovbakken (or Bakken Bears from 2007 called) remained loyal to the end of his performance basketball career in 2013.

He played 521 games for Skovbakken and Bakken and was with the team ten times Danish champions and eight times cup winners. For the Danish national team, he played in 58 international matches.
